Good Webcam for Skyping on Xbox One consoleI was looking to get a webcam that I could use with my Xbox One X so I could have family video chats with groups of people sitting in the living room sofa. Living in this crazy year means less ability to visit family that lives far away and doing a video call on a cell phone doesn’t cut it for large groups of people. I have had a positive experience overall with it and I would recommend it for anyone looking to get this and connect it specially to an Xbox for video chats. I do not do any video streaming for gamers like Twitch so I don’t even have the app nor can i speak to that topic. Here are my thoughts in a bit more detail:+++ Great packaging. It is a little nice package that is very satisfying to unbox. It feels like a quality product and is well made. I love that it has a privacy cover for when you’re not using the webcam. Every webcam should have this!+++ The setup was super easy. I plugged the camera into one of the USB-A ports on the back of my console and it was recognized when I opened the Skype application, it just worked. No fidgeting with the settings.+++ Once I got it set up, it worked wonderfully. There was no lag in the video and the other party could hear me well.+++ The picture quality was not perfect. I have 65″ 4K UHD LG TV so it was less resolution than what I am used to seeing on my TV. But that’s a fault of mine. This is not a 4K resolution webcam.+++ Overall, I liked the webcam. It does what one can expect at a decent price. Good product: 4.5/5.

Clear, crisp, and easyThis plug and play camera has excellent, crisp quality. During the pandemic, both my wife and I have used it for video conference calls, and even online teaching. We’ve never had an issue of connectivity or quality, etc. We find that the camera always picks up clear images with a consistent frame rate. When I was browsing different cameras, I found a very similar camera with 60fps, and while I considered that one, I opted for the 30fps. After all, none but the quickest of eyes would even note a difference. One of the primary reasons you might consider this camera is because of the external closing shutter for the sake of privacy. It slides well, and I have no fear of breaking it. I believe there’s some sort of internal software that makes it so that when the shutter is closed, there is actually no input signal to the computer. I can’t actually prove this, but on a couple of occasions, I left the shutter closed as I attempted to join a video conference only to have the system platform tell me I can’t join due to lack of input. However, once actually in the call, I was able to close the shutter as desired with no issues on the platform. Maybe a fluke, or maybe the camera really does care about your privacy that much. After all, since it does have an internal microphone (which I don’t use), your privacy extends beyond the visual to the audible too, right? As stated, I don’t have any need of the internal mic on this camera, so unfortunately I can’t offer any review of that aspect. All in all, a clear, crisp, and easy camera well worth your time and money to take your laptop conferences to the next level.

Pretty good, really is mac compatable surpringly!I plugged this in using an Apple USB-A to USB-C converter (this is really important. Other converters are not $50 but other converters also do not work, I’ve tried at least 2 off brands). Anyway the light didn’t come on, but it showed up in System Properties as both a camera and a microphone, and it works fine as a source for both Photo Booth and OBS.The picture quality is much better than the one actually built into my laptop, and there’s some sort of automatic wide angle lense. The frame rate is 30fps which is fine for my purposes. My only complaint is like many webcams it accentuates red slightly. I fixed this in OBS with a color correction (hue minus 10), but I’m not an expert.

Generally good, slightly heavy on red tones.I’ve been asked by several friends to help them find web cams. I noticed this one was available with a reasonably quick delivery quoted so I gave it a shot. It’s okay. I r used it for several conference calls and have had no complaints on audio or video quality.I’ve noticed the video is a bit heavy on red tones. But not enough to really complain about too much. I tested it side by side to my Logitech Brio. Doing that the heavy red tone is obvious but in just using this web cam it is not a big deal.Installation couldn’t be easier. Just plug it into an available YSB port and Window 10 installed it and I was up and running. There are No adjustments. No software to tweak the camera. It is what it is. And it is adequate for a typical home user or work-at-home conference calls. The sliding privacy cover is a nice plus and the blue led when in use makes it obvious when the camera is on.We verbally it’s a decent little web cam at a good price point. I paid $56 and change.

Happy with this new webcamI have an an old Logitech webcam that I’ve been disappointed in lately due to poor image color and lighting. It was pretty old technology, being about 15 years old, so I’d been considering replacing it with newer technology in the hope that it would improve my image quality. So when I saw this new HD Webcam at a very reasonable price I thought I’d give it a try.I’m very happy with the results and this HD Webcam fits my needs perfectly. It worked right away when I plugged it in and I’m very happy with the image and how it works in low light both for brightness and color quality.I also like the built in lens cover which is very handy and neat – I used to keep the lens on my old webcam covered with a small cloth when not in use and the built in cover is a big improvement in appearance and convenience.I’ve uploaded a couple screenshots comparing the image quality of this new HD Webcam with my much older Logitech webcam. The difference in image quality is impressive. There are two photos showing the comparison as I wanted to include a photo showing how the image looks when there is a bright object back lighting the scene as the back lighting is a common problem when using a webcam. This new HD Webcam is a big improvement with the back lighting as well.
