Glad I purchasedWasn’t sure about this, based on some mixed reviews.But being old and half blind, the light and especially the little magnifying glass helped more than expected.Cuts braid and flouro well. Will see if that lasts.Already ordered another for home use pre-making leaders, etc.

Dont get in your boat without oneGreat handy device. I guide full time in the summer and it is my most used tool. Great on braid or mono. Bought a second one in case I lose the first.

Great for cutting Fireline!Like another reviewer, I use these to cut Fireline for beading purposes.Having blunted my favourite scissors doing this, I did some research on the web and found some great reviews about this product. The only outlet I could find in the UK selling them on the web were always out of stock so I finally bought the imported snips from Amazon.I have to say I’m glad I did. They cut cleanly every time. I have tried them on a good variety of types of thread and get good results on them all. The Snips are light, easy to press to cut and when locked the blades safely close automatically. They come in grey or black only (obviously for fishing people, these are fine) but as the beading community gets to know about them, I hope they produce them in more attractive colours!My only real grumble, however, is that it is difficult to find UK stores, selling Boomerang products which is certainly a missed opportunity by all our beading stores!)

Cuts nice but arrived flatThis device cuts fly backing line very easy, it was sent from the states to the UK in a small plastic bag with no packing materials. When it arrived the led was on but nearly flat. Could have been slid to on configuration at any time given the poor packaging and it wasn’t cheap either considering it’s a pair of scissors on a string.The extendable cord is just black nylon, very thin and doesn’t feel very good quality. Time will tell, mixed feeling so far.
