CONVERSION KIT

 

CONVERSION KIT INCLUDES

• Electric actuator
• wireless UP/DOWN remote
• Two 5/16” stainless bolts with nuts
• 8 nylon spacers (4 for the top and 4 for the bottom)
• Pelican waterproof battery box
• 24V Kobalt drill batery
• battery charger

 

 

CONVERSION KIT DOES NOT INCLUDE

• 5/16” drill bit
• Impact drill

 

 

Step 1: Start by taking your motor off of the jack plate.

 

Step 2: Remove the old manual jack from the top and bottom “C CHANNEL” mounting brackets.

 

Step 3: Remove the top and bottom “C CHANNEL” mounting brackets by un bolting them (remember which bracket goes on the top and which one goes on the bottom, it matters). BE SURE TO USE AN IMPACT DRILL WHEN TAKING THE BOLTS OUT. The bolts could have oxidation on them which makes them a bit sticky. You do NOT want to strip these bolts out as it will make the conversion much harder to accomplish.

 

Step 4: Get a 5/16” drill bit to drill out the 3 quarter inch predrilled holes that already exist in the mounting brackets. These holes need to be 5/16” inches round in order for the new mounting hardware to fit inside them. Be sure to secure these bracket down when drilling. DO NOT FREE HAND THESE WHILE DRILLING OUT THE NEW HOLES.

 

 

Step 5: Re mount the top and bottom “C CHANNEL” mounting brackets to the jack plate housing.

 

 

Step 6: Mount the electric actuator into the bottom “C CHANNEL” bracket first. Then mount the top part of the electric actuator into the top “C CHANNEL” bracket. The electric actuator should look like the picture below when finished mounting.

 

Step 7: Connect the wire from the actuator to your battery box. Once you have completed these steps you are ready to go!
