Works wellWorks like a go pro should battery life is okay. On and off multiple times. Was able to run it with a battery back. Does get hot pretty quick.

Decent entry level camera, requires good lighting.I picked this up along with a memory card, tripod and some portable lighting as we are using the camera for YouTube.The camera itself appears to be pretty good quality, but there’s two big annoying things:1. You have to connect a phone with Bluetooth to your camera to use it when out of the box. I shouldn’t need to do that.2. Doesn’t have a standard tripod screw, nor does it include an adapter, I had to purchase that separately. I feel like for how expensive this camera is they could have included that.

Interesting u/w cameraBought this to replace my old underwater camera. Used it the first time just a week after receiving purchase. Since it was such a different kind of camera, I wasn’t sure. When I was able to view the footage on my phone just an hour after diving, I loved it. I am still getting use to the GoPro, but like what I am seeing.

little low lightThis product works great. Just don’t buy it if you need it to see in the dark or low to very low light situations. Decent battery life though.

GoPro Software Installation issue So far I like the size and weight of the product. I’m a self-proclaimed tech nerd and I’m finding the software/application installation to be a problem. I’d like to know how to contact the manufacturer so I can start creating🤔I’ll update my review once everything is in working order👌

Very capable action cameraLet me start by saying this thing has awesome video quality and is very capable. With higher frame rates you can get buttery smooth slo mo for B Roll. The only problem I have with this camera is the fact that the battery, SD card, and power connection are all in the same place makes it very hard to run external power. There is a solution from a company called 3BR powersports model x-pwr-h8.

Good CameraIt’s important to know how cameras work. A lot has already been written in reviews, but from an experienced photographer and Action Camera user, this GoPro 8 Black does the job for the price. These things are great for action filming, sports or even stationary. Within their limits they’re tough; waterproof to ten metres with their casing. You might need spare batteries. The App is okay. I never watch Youtube reviews but after a lot of research I jumped in on a special discount offer. The first thing I noticed was theGoPro 8 getting hot, but that’s to be expected up to a point. Image quality, lens, and stabilisation are the things I want first, followed by the settings menu and ease of use. The Go Pro Hero 8 Black is better than I expected.Use this camera for a couple of weeks and get used to it; then there is still a lot to learn about GoPros but it’s all worth it. There are advanced functions, Timelapse and Timewarp to have fun with. It even works by voice commands plus it has remote control functions. Ideal for me.First set up the camera properly for the job and get the exposure triangle right. The rest is all up to the camera. Not a fan of colour grading or editing too much: pictures are pretty good with the GoPro colours; the sound from the microphone is acceptable. To sum up this camera it just does the job I need as a filmmaker and it’s tough and waterproof.I would buy this camera again.

Received defective product.Upon opening the box, I noticed the items inside were a little dusty, which was odd since they were packaged in the box. I also noticed some of the edges of the instruction manual were worn down. I think I may have received a used or refurbished GoPro — which is not what I ordered.Unfortunately, the GoPro wouldn’t turn on, neither with the battery or directly plugged in with the battery removed. No indicators, no LED lights, no sign of life at all.Bizarre experience. Immediately returned it to Amazon and will buy another from elsewhere.
