Definitley keeps things cold, but would prefer a bit more interior spaceI understand there has to be a certain thickness to provide the insulation this backpack provides, but nevertheless it would be nice to see more interior space. Still, it does the job of keeping things cold for sure.

GreatWell made. Lot of pockets. Haven’t tried it yet but it looks like it will be waterproof.

One of the best currently availableExcellent bag, holds cold all day in high temperatures and direct sun even just loading bottles/food right out of the fridge. With additional ice the bag stays refrigerator cold for at least 24 hours. Excellent straps, very comfortable to carry fully loaded over soft sand or rocky terrain. If you have some actual need to keep hard ice for more than 24 hours go with an excessively heavy and awkward roto-molded cooler. If you need to keep beer/beverages/food cold while actually moving around and doing things on foot (beach, hiking, festivals, most realistic fishing scenarios) you will be hard pressed to find a better option. My only recommendation would be to replace the roll top with another waterproof zipper and add an additional flip-top/lid type compartment in the top space that the rolled top occupies. If you are going to be out for days leave the immobile yeti in the trunk, with the tents, or wherever and use this for what you want to actually carry with you right now.Edit: After talking to some people who have apparently struggled with the depth and shape of this bag, I would like to add a little advice. First, when you receive your bag fill it with water to just past the top of the insulation and let sit full overnight. This will force the foam walls to straighten out and make the bag much easier to use. Second, when loading or reaching into the bag roll the top open. Folding the top open makes the mouth of the bag the entire diameter of the bag and it is very easy and convenient to load and/or retrieve things. Once you get the hang of this thing you will basically have a super insulated 5 gallon bucket strapped to your back.

Excellent cooler – padded belt, very good performance, seems durable, easy open/close roll top!We use this cooler on a nearly daily basis. We chose it over the competition (like Yeti) for:(1) It’s roll-down clipped open/close mechanism. Having such an easy way to open and close it makes it easy to use. We have a baby and being able to get food in/out without struggling with a zipper really makes life easier. We almost purchase a yeti from a local shop, but then we were turned off when we heard from the show owner how people complain about the zipper and that yetti even sells the cooler with zipper lube, since it’s a known issue.(2) the padded backpack strap – I have back problems and being able to secure the pack in a safe way makes it a pleasure to use.(3). The form factor – it’s a nice shape and size for the car and easily fits with our stroller and beach life.(4). I like the additional zippered pockets to store easy to grab snacks – these do not insulate as well, but they make it convenient to store string cheese, utensils, or other items like that.(5). It keeps the ice packs frozen for 24 hours and the food cold for 2-3 days. A few times we’ve forgotten cheese or milk in it and it’s still very cold the next day.

DO NOT BUY!!!We should have listened to the many reviews. This cooler is useless. We purchased it to take on a tropical vacation.. You cannot easily pack or find anything because of its bulky insulation. The inside space is too tight. We tried packing it the day before leaving, and we were instantly annoyed. We quickly ran out and purchased the Ice Mule Pro XL from a local retailer and left for vacation with the thought of returning the unused one instantly upon return. This worked so much better. When we got back from vacation a week later, I tried to return the useless bulky one. It only has a 30 DAY RETURN POLICY. I tried to return it at the 35 day point only to find out this does not have the typical 90 day policy. We are now stuck with a very expensive cooler that we will never use.

I keeps my food cold for long periods of timeThe zippers are very hard to open and your hoping they don’t brake & the inside is not as big as I expected. Other then that it’s keeping my food and drinks cold for more then 24hrs.

Good product if you can handle a heavy backpackThis is a durable product but bulkier than expected. Ice remained for about 24 hours. It is heavy when at capacity. Excellent beach cooler because it is easy to carry in and out plus stays cold in the sun.

It might as well be named Bruce. It kept ice for over 3 days on a trip during late summer. Very impressive. You sacrifice access to items for ease of transport and extended cooling, but it is worth it if your goal is cold transport.
