Easily remove your electric-steer, bow-mount trolling motor. High-yield composite construction is super strong and impervious to corrosion. Low-profile design leaves deck clear when motor is removed. Locking handle with stainless steel pins can be secured with padlock (padlock not included, sold separately).NOTE: Not for use with any 112 lbs. thrust motors or any motor with a shaft length of 72” or longer. Instead use the RTA-54 model.

Tougher than it seemsEasy install. Had to modify it a bit to mount my troller exactly where I wanted it and that was very easy to accomplish. Holes for pins are a little tight and the pin is not a solid U. That is the only weak point to this design. A quick tap will break the handle making the lock obsolete.

Does not work on smaller, hand steer Riptide motorThis mount, RTA-17, does NOT work on my hand-steer MinnKota Riptide 55SC trolling motor. Having to return it. The mount holes are not aligned, and the bracket is too wide to even drill my own holes to try and make it work. I’m left wondering what mount will work?

Well madeWell made. The only reason I removed a star was due to the mounting nuts that have only one full thread inside them. Will have to pick up new stainless steel lock nuts.
