Great product – disappointing boxing and handlingBought this for an upcoming camping trip and it came fast and was exactly what I was looking for with the easy inflate and deflate plus extra padding. Unfortunately, the box was poorly secured, had almost no wrapping around the product other than the thin carrying bag and something clearly punctured the box, the thin wrapping, the bag, and the air mat as a 1-2 CM slice was visible. Still almost kept it because it’s that comfortable! Had to return it, unfortunately. The packager needs to simply wrap this in something or anything to provide it some cushion and it would have made the trip fine.

Solid padThis pad works as described. Although I only use it in my camper shell, it works perfectly for my needs. Great sleep.

ComfortableThis is not a light weight sleeping mat, it does not compress to something that you’d throw in a backpack. However it’s extremely comfortable, I’ve had back surgery and I can sleep on the mat with no pain or stiffness the next day, I can even sleep on my side. I’ve used it in winter and summer and had no temperature problems. I would recommend a sheet over it for comfort. I wish I could find something like this I could take backpacking. Although if I had to I’d sacrifice some weight and bulk to accommodate bringing this. I have not had it get wet other than dew but it drys quickly. Not sure how it would do if tent flooded. My 11 year old can deflate and pack it up so it’s fairly easy but you do have to put some effort into it.

Best I’ve Used!I camp frequently (10x per year), and I have a bad back. I’ve tried close to a dozen different pads, mats, etc. for sleeping on the ground (I usually go ultra light and sleep in a hammock). I’m a side sleeper, so finding a pad that accommodates that is hard to begin with. I purchased one of these around 4 years ago and have never looked back. They’re incredibly comfortable, and easy to blow a little extra air inside if you need a firmer pad. My wife loved it so much that I had to get her one, and several friends have complained about theirs, tried mine out, and decided they wanted one as well. If you find the ground uncomfortable, I’d highly recommend one of these! After a few years of use with one of my pads, it developed a slight leak and wouldn’t hold air overnight. I contacted the manufacturer, and they immediately said they would honor their warranty and sent me a replacement immediately, and asked if there was anything else they could do to help. For a high quality product with a fantastic company and warranty to back it up, you really can’t go wrong here.

First impression of the Wellax sleeping padOkay, here’s my first impression after receiving this product and inspecting it thoroughly. Keep in mind, I have not used it out in the field or camping yet. I will give that review at a later date. I spend a lot of time in the back country, and I’m not exactly as young as I used to be, so having a little more comfort when roughing it ( sort of speak ) is pretty important in my book.I will break down the pros and cons as I see them. It is a little difficult to rate how many stars without some time spent in the field with this product, however, here is my initial thoughts;Pro – very compact and light weight; inflates at a comparable rate to some other brands and only requires a few breaths if you want to speed things up a little; it felt comfortable enough once inflated, but the true test will be overnight for several days out in the field. The price is decent if it can stand the test of time under normal conditions. There is an extra valve and patch kit included along with two elastic straps to contain the mattress once it’s deflated and rolled up; It appears the company would like to insure satisfaction with this product and asks for honest feedback which helps them to make a better product. Good customer service will always bring me back as a customer, so I like that they ask for this information.Cons – Without using it extensively yet, it’s hard to rate the negatives. Here is what I thought when I first opened the shipping box. The fabric bag it came in was ripped at the seam. I don’t know if the sleeping pad was meant to go back in this fabric bag or if it was just to be shipped in it. It would not last in the field if it didn’t even make it past shipping; The regular is a small mattress, which works for me, but anyone over five foot eight or 170 lbs. might find this too small. There is a fine line when cutting weight and bulk but trying to improve comfort; This concept I understand well, so it is a challenge! It is also a bit narrow, but again, reflects on what I just stated.Overall, I look forward to trying it out, and if it gives me a decent sleep over the season without any major product failures, I will be a satisfied customer with this product and price.

Very comfortable and extra largeI’m 5′ 5″ and used this sleeping pad on my last camping trips. It’s very comfortable, warm and I could even sleep on my side without problems. The extra thickness means you can deflate it slightly if you like it softer, and you still won’t touch the ground. The integrated pillow is a bit small, but it’s a nice addition as long as you have a thin pillow to go over it or that you are not sleeping on your side.

DO NOT BUY FROM GREEN SIERRA LLC!DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER. I bought this relatively costly sleeping pad from this seller Green Sierra LLC. After using for only a week it had a slow leak rendering this memory foam self inflating mat useless. I reported to this seller and they said they no longer carry the product and I should look for other sellers. They give ZERO after sale support, buy your product elsewhere and give this seller ZERO of your dollars. Other sellers have reached out to manufactures to secure a replacement in similar circumstance. This seller will send you a short email telling you to buy another one from someone else. Just buy it from someone else the first time.

AmazingI had my doubts but honestly this mattress was well worth the money. It doesn’t really self inflate as advertised, but a dozen or so blows from your mouth will inflate it just fine.

Awesome but massiveBest of its kind. Period. When I read some reviews stating that you can sleep on your side, I was like “yeah, sure”.Oh boy have I been wrong, this baby supports even the weirdest sleeping positions. You have to be aware though, that this thing is truly unwieldy, I mean its humongous. Before you buy, you should know that you probably won’t go backpacking with it anytime soon. For any other application its numero uno.
